The nearest airport to Shaolin is Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport (CGO), 107 KM away and Luoyang Beijiao Airport (69 KM away), so you can fly to these 2 airports.

By Train

There is currently no operational high-speed railway station in Dengfeng City, where Shaolin Temple is located. Below are the nearest major high-speed rail stations and travel options:

Zhengzhou East Railway Station (Most Popular Choice)

About 70 km from Shaolin Xiaolong Kungfu Academy. It has the most frequent high-speed train services.  Upon arrival, you can take a long-distance bus or tourist shuttle from Zhengzhou to Dengfeng (around 1.5 hours), or take a taxi directly to our academy in about 1 hour.

Luoyang Longmen Railway Station:

About 70 km from Shaolin Xiaolong Kungfu Academy. Ideal for travelers coming from Xi’an and Luoyang.Take a local bus or shared car after arrival, and you will reach us in around 1.5 hours.

Gongyi South Railway Station:

About 34 km from Shaolin Xiaolong Kungfu Academy, the closest high-speed rail station geographically. However, it has far fewer train schedules than the above two stations. Most visitors take a taxi or shared car for a 40–50 minute ride to us.

Important Reminder:

The so-called “Dengfeng East Station / Dengfeng West Station” seen online are not operational high-speed railway stations at present. They are either planned projects or highway exit names. Please do not be misled when buying train tickets.
