7-Day Summer Camp Plan | Xiaolong Kungfu Academy

Curriculum Arrangement

Day 1: Camp opening ceremony & campus tour.
Day 2: Learn basic Shaolin Kungfu movements, including boxing techniques, leg techniques and palm techniques; learn and interpret basic Shaolin Kungfu etiquette.
Day 3: Learn the basic movements of Shaolin Five-Step Fist.
Day 4: Further study and detailed explanation of Shaolin Five-Step Fist basic movements.
Day 5: Review the complete routine of Shaolin Five-Step Fist.
Day 6: Cultural and Shaolin Kungfu exchange with local students.
Day 7: Comprehensive review of all learned content of Shaolin Five-Step Fist, followed by group photo taking.

Reception Standards

  1. Accommodation: Xiaolong Grand Hotel, standard twin room with private bathroom and toilet.
  2. Catering: Set meals at Xiaolong Grand Hotel, 10 guests per table.
  3. Tickets: All scenic spot tickets and performance tickets shall be borne by participants themselves, subject to the official ticket price at the scenic spot ticket office.

Curriculum Arrangement

Training content: A total of 5 sets including 3 boxing routines and 2 weapon routines; plus leg techniques, stance training and flexibility training.

Daily Schedule
Morning: Get up at 7:30, wash up and have breakfast.
Morning Class: 8:30 – 11:30
Afternoon Class: 14:30 – 17:30
Evening: Free activity time

Week One

Monday
Morning: Teacher-student meeting, formation arrangement, introduction of the meaning of fist salute; learn the first half of Five-Step Fist routine.
Afternoon: Formation assembly, greet with fist salute, jogging warm-up, flexibility training; practice the first half and learn the second half of Five-Step Fist.

Tuesday
Morning: Formation assembly, fist salute, stance practice & Five-Step Fist training.
Afternoon: Formation assembly, fist salute, consolidate Five-Step Fist; learn the first part of Shaolin Small Red Fist.

Wednesday
Morning: Flexibility training, Five-Step Fist and the first part of Small Red Fist; learn the second part of Small Red Fist.
Afternoon: Practice Five-Step Fist, Small Red Fist and basic stances.

Thursday
Morning: Stance practice, Five-Step Fist & Small Red Fist training.
Afternoon: Flexibility training, improve movement standard of Five-Step Fist and Small Red Fist.

Friday
Morning: Learn the complete Tongbei Fist routine.
Afternoon: Review and consolidate Tongbei Fist.

Saturday
Morning: Jogging and joint warm-up; practice all three boxing routines.
Afternoon: Further polish three boxing routines to achieve proficiency, proper power and standard posture.

Sunday
Morning: Improve Tongbei Fist and Five-Step Fist with focus on powerful footwork.
Afternoon: Polish Small Red Fist and standardize stances.

Week Two

Monday
Morning: Learn the first part of Shaolin Staff routine.
Afternoon: Practice the first part and learn the second part of Shaolin Staff.

Tuesday
Morning: Practice Shaolin Staff and improve staff flower skills.
Afternoon: Further polish Shaolin Staff to full proficiency.

Wednesday
Morning: Learn the first part of Shaolin Broadsword routine.
Afternoon: Practice the first part and learn the second part of Shaolin Broadsword.

Thursday
Morning: Practice Shaolin Broadsword and improve broadsword flower skills.
Afternoon: Refine Shaolin Broadsword, focusing on force point, head-wrapping & brain-coiling moves and bayonet thrust techniques.

Friday
Morning: Practice the three boxing routines.
Afternoon: Practice the two weapon routines; watch a 30-minute Shaolin Kungfu performance.

Saturday
Morning: Practice the two weapon routines.
Afternoon: Continue practicing the two weapon routines.

Sunday
Morning: Comprehensive review of all learned routines.
Afternoon: Group collective demonstration; each student randomly selects one routine for individual performance; group photo session.

Day 5: Learn Shaolin Five-Step Fist with detailed explanation of key movement essentials.
Day 6: Organize cultural & Shaolin Kungfu exchange class.
Day 7: Rest day.

Week 2

Day 1: Learn the first 10 movements of Shaolin Small Red Fist.
Day 2: Learn the first 20 movements of Shaolin Small Red Fist.
Day 3: Review and consolidate learned movements.
Day 4: Learn the second half of Shaolin Small Red Fist.
Day 5: Review the complete routine.
Day 6: Cultural & Shaolin Kungfu exchange class.
Day 7: Rest day.

Week 3

  1. Day 1: Start learning Shaolin Eyebrow-Level Staff, including staff flower and lifting & swinging flower skills.
    Day 2: Learn 10 basic movements of Shaolin Eyebrow-Level Staff.
    Day 3: Learn another 20 movements of Shaolin Eyebrow-Level Staff.
    Day 4: Review all learned staff movements.
    Day 5: Learn the second half of Shaolin Eyebrow-Level Staff routine.
    Day 6: Cultural & Shaolin Kungfu exchange class.
    Day 7: Rest day.

Week 4

Comprehensive review and consolidation of Five-Step Fist, Small Red Fist and Eyebrow-Level Staff; group photo souvenir.
